Munich’s giant flea market - Munich, Germany
Once a year, on the opening weekend of Munich’s “Frühjahrsfest” (the first Saturday of the Spring Festival of Munich, in April), there is a very large flea market on the Theresienwiese, the grounds where the famous Oktoberfest takes place months later. Back in 2011, we wrote about Munich’s giant flea market, which was held for the 46th time!
This truly gigantic flea market brings together around 3,000 exhibitors and more than 80,000 visitors from all over Europe every year for a festive day of flea market shopping at Theresienwiese. This spring flea market at Theresienwiese constitutes an amazing opportunity for flea market shopping and thrifters to find great second-hand goods at a very low price: clothes, design furniture, flea market merchandise, militaria, home appliances, electronics, antiques and more can be found at Theresienwiese Flohmarkt. The selection is huge and the prices are more than affordable. Be there early to catch a few true bargains!
