Vintage, Design and Flea Markets: A 3 days shopping tour in Amsterdam
CONCLUSION
Amsterdam is an antiques & design-aware destination totally worth the trip if you are traveling in this part of Europe. As a matter of facts, a trip to Amsterdam perfectly fits within a larger tour including London, Paris, and Brussels. All these four capital cities are pretty close to one another, and can easily be connected within an hour and a half (1h30) ride in train: London-Paris (Eurostar), Paris-Brussels (Thalys), Brussel-Amsterdam (SNCB). If you plan to undertake this tour, consider spending at least two days in each location to make the most of your shopping trip there. All in all, a full week holiday should be more than enough to let you cover the top flea market venues and antique stores in each cities.
How about you? Have you already been to Amsterdam? Are there any venues you liked in particular or would like to visit during your next trip there?

When he realized that his place was started to look like a perfect IKEA showroom, Nicolas decided it was time to change and started out of curiosity to see what a flea market looked like. 8 years and a thousand finds later, he is now looking for a bigger flat to accommodate all his awesome flea market treasures, vintage items and design furniture. Nicolas has been featured on The Wall Street Journal, Homes & Antiques, HGTV Magazine, Refinery 29, NPR, and CBS New York. Connect with Nicolas on Google+
