Aéropuces: Paris’ Aeronautical Flea Market

Since 2009, the Aéropuces have attracted many flea market enthusiasts, amateurs and professionals collectors, who come from around Europe to look for a rare gem.

Usually taking place on the third weekend of October, this event offers a unique opportunity for people interested in the aeronautical world, to purchase, sell, exchange and meet other aviation enthusiasts.

Set in the Concord Hall right under the wings of two Concorde airplanes, the Aéropuces aeronautical flea market gathers more than 80 exhibitors and passionate collectors who come to exhibit rare pieces related to the aeronautical industry.

Among the items on sell, visitors will find a variety of airplane spare parts, pilot helmets, flight suits, flight instruments, old airplane models, collectibles, postcards, posters, magazines, comic books, uniforms, squadron badges, and so on.

In addition to this unusual flea market shopping tour, it is also possible to visit the amazing Musée de l’Air which remains open that day. The Interwar Hall, renovated back in 2013, welcomes collections of early civil and sport aviation, as well as Great Raids aircraft. For instance, the very first airliner (Fairman Goliath, 1919), the first airplane to connect Paris to New York City (Breguet 19 TF Super Bidon, 1930), as well as the last remaining exemplary of the Caudron Simoun, are displayed in the museum. Last but not least, visitors can see (and even board!) one of Air France’s Concorde and Boeing 747.
