Known as the biggest indoor/outdoor flea market in Virginia, The Virginia Bazaar is a sprawling labyrinth of treasures that spans 67,000 square feet. Merchandise can vary from week to week, but many sellers return with a fresh selection of goods. Antiques, vintage items, furniture, decor, toys, vinyl, and other collectibles are usually for sale at one of the best flea markets in Virginia. The climate-controlled facility is fun to shop in no matter the weather, and the on-site food court offers up plenty of tasty treats.

2. Shenandoah Valley Flea Market – New Market, Virginia

Open year-round, Shenandoah Valley Flea Market was founded in 2004 and is located right in the heart of Virginia. In 2012, a market shopper found a $7 painting. After appraisal, she realized it was the famous Paysage Bords de Seine by Pierre-Auguste Renoir (worth between $75,000 and $100,000), which had been stolen from its permanent exposition back in 1951. Even if you don’t find a piece of priceless art, you probably won’t leave empty-handed. More than 70 vendors have an assortment of wares that include primitives, furniture, pottery, art, and glass. Nestled in the lush and idyllic valley, the market is easy to spot: just look for the red roof.

3. Virginia 100 Mile Yard Sale – Moseley, Virginia

Stretching through 15 towns, this annual yard sale attracts thousands and is one of the best flea markets in Virginia. There’s no definitive ending time, but the event lasts only day, so browse quick! The sale starts at Moseley, then winds through various counties on Route 360 and 460. With such a diverse collection of sales, antique dealers and vintage vendors, there’s everything from Federal glass to Civil War collectibles up for sale. Pack in some BBQ and history tours along the way if you can.

4. The Factory Antique Mall – Verona, Virginia

The Factory Antique Mall is housed in a former Genesco clothing factory and is the largest antique mall in America, measuring 135,000 square feet to date. Ever-expanding, it’s one of the premier high-end antique destinations and one of the best flea markets in Virginia. It’s even trusted for period furnishings for AMC’s drama Turn and the film Lincoln. There’s a great assortment of over 250 vendors, and new items arrive every week. Finding vintage, Americana, primitives, glass, artwork, and any other collectible is easy at this antique marketplace. There’s even an on-site cafe, Tasty Bites. Open daily.

5. Stagecoach Markets & Antique Village – Gloucester, Virginia

Open weekends only, Gloucester County’s Stagecoach Market is likely one of the most unusual flea markets you’ll shop in Virginia. The complex combines a flea market and antique shop with an Old West motif. Storefronts are modeled with a Western theme, and throughout the village are open and covered merchant spaces. Some vendors have their own specialties, such as gemstones or war collectibles, which makes for great browsing if you’re in the mood for anything that catches your eye. Vendors are friendly with hagglers.

The Strasburg Emporium offers one of the largest selections of antiques in the Shenandoah Valley at over 50,000 square feet of shopping and more than 60 dealers. You’ll find coins, antiques, artwork, furniture, glass, linens, home decor, and a little bit of everything else. Dealers are knowledgeable and several have been at the market for more than 10 years, making it one of the best flea markets in Virginia. They really know their stuff, and bring an amazing collection of merchandise weekly.

For more two decades, The Flea Market Edinburg has been one of the best flea markets in Virginia and in the Shenandoah Valley.  Although the building exterior looks plain and nondescript, inside you’ll find plenty of treasures, bargains, and must-have items. Nearly 100 booths are inside the covered building and they contain all sorts of antiques, from primitives to artwork to toys you used to own. In August, the market is one of the hosts of the Yard Crawl, a sprawling yard sale that spans more than 40 miles.

8. Smithfield Vintage Market – Windsor and Smithfield, Virginia

Held in Windsor, Virginia, the Smithfield Vintage Market consists of a big annual show at the fairgrounds and several smaller monthly shows in Smithfield May through November. The market is one of the best flea markets in Virginia and was the 2018 recipient of a Best of Reader’s Choice Award from Coastal Virginia Magazine. The annual market features more than 100 dealers while monthly shows have 15 sellers selling of items that predate 1980. Glassware, kitchen items, primitive, farm collectibles, and other vintage pieces are often here. Admission is $5 for the big show.

9. The Big Flea – Chantilly, Virginia

The Mid-Atlantic’s biggest indoor flea market, The Big Show is not just one of the best flea markets in Virginia, it’s one of the best in the country. A wide variety of antiques and collectibles are featured at this huge show at the Dulles Expo Center in Chantilly, Virginia. Millions have attended the Big Flea and it’s one of the most respected shows in the business. The show began 20 years ago and only grows in size. Jewelry, artwork, Americana, furniture, and thousands of treasures are for sale.  The Big Flea also features a show in Hampton, Virginia in March.

10. Shenandoah Antiques Expo – Fisherville, Virginia

Longtime antique show promoters Heritage Promotions deliver one of the best flea markets in Virginia each spring with the Shenandoah Antiques Expo. The event features more than 300 indoor dealers plus over 100 outdoor spaces to browse. Held in Fisherville, Virginia, it’s an antique extravaganza that collectors, shop owners, and enthusiasts have been attending for more than 60 years. Admission is $10 on Friday and $5 on Saturday. The expo is presented twice a year, once in the spring and once in the fall.
